15 tips to get a flat abdomen


Of all the areas of our body the belly is the most predisposed to fat accumulation. And at the same time is the most difficult area to slim down. These 15 easy steps will help to achieve a flat stomach in no time:

  1. Hot water and lemon

First thing in the morning drink a glass of warm water with lemon juice. This will stimulate digestion and will also act as an energy booster.

  1. Get the blood flowing

Even if you’re not a fan of exercising, in the morning try to reserve a few minutes for a light workout routine such as yoga or jumping jacks.

  1. Don’t skip breakfast!

The saying “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” is not for nothing. It is entirely true. In the morning the metabolism runs at full capacity and the digestion is better than in any other time of the day. However, avoid consuming dairy because it can cause bloating. Try instead a vegetable omelet.

  1. Healthy snacks

The snack between breakfast and lunch will keep your metabolism running and it is also great against fatigue. Choose a pineapple and papaya smoothie, for example. It will keep you energetic and will also help you from eating too much at lunch time.

  1. Don’t skip lunch!

Make time for lunch and make sure you chew your food. Take your time to prevent bloating. The main cause of bloating is not chewing the food which makes it hard for the stomach to digest.

  1. Hydrate

Make sure you keep your body hydrated. Drink at least 2l of water a day.

  1. Avoid chewing gum

When you chew gum you ingest a high amount of air which leads to bloating.

  1. Measure your portions

Leave the table before feeling full.

  1. Consume quinoa

They’re an excellent protein source and they’re very filling.

  1. Fiber

Eat a fiber snack in the afternoon –apples, raspberries, pear.

  1. Don’t eat anything until dinner

After the afternoon snack (14:00 or 15:00), try not to eat anything until dinner. Drink water instead if you feel a little hungry.

  1. Enjoy a light dinner

Try not to eat anything heavy on the stomach at dinner. Choose a salad or a grilled lean meat with steamed vegetables.

  1. Drink digestive tea

A cup of chamomile or mint tea after dinner will help your digestion and prevent bloating.

  1. Skip dessert

This is a golden rule if you want to lose weight, especially belly fat.

  1. Go to bed early

By resting you assure your body with the energy it needs to get through a busy day at work and working out.
