4 great natural recipes for homemade makeup remover

Nature has offered us numerous wonderful herbs which we can use in many ways, in medicine or cosmetics. Here are 4 recipes for natural homemade makeup remover:

Recipe no.1: 1 teaspoon of Castor oil, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, and 1 teaspoon of canola oil. Mix all the oils in a recipient and use it to take your makeup off. You can use it on your eyes, as well. Rinse your face with warm water afterwards.

Recipe no.2: ½ cup of milk and 1 cucumber. Peel the cucumber and use a food processor to make a paste out of it. Place the cucumber paste in a small pot and add ½ cup of milk. Heat it up at low heat and stir once in a while. When it starts to boil, leave for 5 minutes more. Take it off the heat and leave to cool down. Keep in the fridge, in a seal-tight recipient.

Recipe no.3: In a bowl, mix a tablespoon of milk with a pinch of turmeric powder and a few drops of lemon juice. Apply it on your face and neck and wait for a few minutes before using a cotton disk to remove the makeup. Rinse your face and neck with warm water afterwards.

Recipe no. 4: Plain yogurt. Apply it on your face and leave it on for a few minutes. Take off your makeup using a cotton disk and rinse with warm water.

Other natural ways to remove makeup:

  • Olive oil.
  • Coconut oil.
  • Coconut butter.
  • Vegetable oil.
  • Baking soda and water (not for your eyes)

Tips to remove your makeup the right way:

Don’t rub but gently massage, especially on the eye area.

To efficiently remove the mascara, foil a cotton disk in half and place it under the eyelashes. Use another cotton disk damped in the makeup remover of your choice to remove the mascara by wiping downwards, onto the cotton pad you placed below the eyelashes.
